MetCoal Australia Metallurgical coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate two open cut and three underground metallurgical coal mines in Queensland's Bowen Basin, every year producing millions of tonnes of the highest quality hard coking coal for this purpose. Job Description Contracts Officer - Moranbah North Mine - Fixed Term This role will see you assisting Company Representatives to effectively and efficiently manage contracts and supplier relationships. Reporting to the Contracts Superintendent

  • You will be responsible for providing support to Company Representatives through all stages of the commercial contracting process and tracking performance of all contracts;
  • Establishing fit for purpose processes for contract users to monitor supplier performance and holding regular review meetings with suppliers to ensure expected outcomes are achieved; and
  • You will also review and assist with the preparation of scopes of work for potential legal and commercial issues ensuring compliance with the Anglo American Metallurgical Coal standard terms and conditions of contract.
Qualifications We are looking for a passionate, customer oriented and process driven individual who can make an impact supporting Company Representatives, managing performance tracking systems and contractual obligations, and developing/implementing KPI's for service agreements. The ideal applicant will have a minimum of two years' experience in contract management, a degree or Certificate in a Business discipline and a passion for excellent customer service and business partnering.
