The Role
The purpose of this role is to cover Maternity Leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for administration and operational tasks associated with all logistics and onsite tasks, this role ensures the efficient and prompt completion of all related administration responsibility and where necessary operational tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop own business services or administrative capability according to direction set by team leader or manager.
- Make sure overall work throughout the day is prioritised, scheduled and organised through others or by referring to standard business practice.
- Develop processes and systems that enhance our customer experience that deliver efficiencies to both Toll and our customer.
- Recognise own task if a problem is encountered in completing the work or something else takes priority
- Participate in forums or systems to gather suggestions for improvement and help test those suggestions in own work processes.
- Use initiative to identify when business practices or equipment are inefficient. Take immediate corrective action where necessary and/or escalate or log the issue for later follow up.
- Ensure business services requirements and standards are met through own contribution and that of others including the highest standards of sustainability in safety and the environment.
- Develop sufficient level of skill and understanding across all business operational tasks that would allow you to complete those tasks if and when required
- Identify and investigate significant business services problems. Select and implement known solutions and escalate problems as necessary to ensure the highest standards of customer service.
- Check the quality of own work and access help or assistance when there are potential issues.
- Provide on-the-job training to others in specific work processes.
- Use own initiative to follow up and resolve unusual or more complicated situations involving financial transactions with customers, suppliers, vendors or other areas within the business.
- Promote a culture of The Toll Way value of Continuous Improvement (CI) by utilising CI thinking and techniques to minimise or eliminate non-value adding activities
- Develop business tools that allow staff to review transactions to ensure cost are minimised and profit hurdles achieved
To be successful
- Microsoft office expertise including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Customer service orientation - detailed understanding and strong curiosity about our customers and what adds value to them.
- Ability to resolve conflict to a positive, business value-added outcome
- Ability to establish and maintain effective support and rapport with personnel at all levels.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated time management, delegation and prioritising skills.
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation, Codes of Practice and Australian Standards
