How would you like to lead, develop, and support an infrastructure and utilities department that is vital to supporting one of Queensland’s largest council territories?

Central Highlands Regional Council is committed in delivering value to its community. As a result, we are looking for a high calibre individual to successfully lead the Infrastructure and Utilities department and become an integral member of the Executive Leadership Team.

Your expertise and ability to provide strategic leadership and deliver operational goals across multi-faceted business units will be highly regarded. Working with us, you will have the opportunity to:

Prepare, review, and deliver council’s strategic and operational plans, including budgets, projects, and policies to support your departmental objectives
Drive business performance by providing positive leadership and clear direction to all staff
Oversee multi-million-dollar projects designed to support our regional community
Work collaboratively with the CEO and members of the Executive Leadership Team
Establish, build, and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external parties
Foster a positive, safe, and effective working environment and culture

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:

A proven ability to lead multiple business units within a fast-paced, complex organisation, ideally within local or state government
Extensive experience in successfully managing multi-million-dollar budgets and projects
Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Business, or significant demonstrated management experience across infrastructure and/or utilities departments
A considered and confident communication style in order to effectively collaborate with and present information to the executive leadership team and council representatives
