About the Practice: Priority Health Group opened its doors in January 2016 with a vision to provide Quality care in a Rural family practice setting. We have grown to over 21,000 patients since opening and continue to grow. We opened our second clinic Emerald Surgery in February 20120 are wanting to recruit a General Practitioner. Exceptionally high earning potential. Fly in and out of Brisbane on a weekly basis is easily achievable. This is an expanding practice looking for dedicated GP's to capitalise on an existing patient base. Interest in Skin Cancer medicine and surgery is highly desirable. This practice is currently open Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5.30pm, Saturday 8.00am to 1.00pm, and Sunday 10am to 1.00pm. There are no on call requirements.This practice is a high-end General Practice with a strong focus on quality and patient centered care. This practice operates a high nursing staff to doctor ratio (currently three to one) to ensure they maintain attention to detail and deliver exceptional care. The practice is additionally supported by admin staff, with full time IT support. Urgent referral basis is to the local hospital which operates a 24x7 Emergency Department. Non urgent referrals are to Rockhampton or Brisbane. The practice bulk bills children and offers concessional billing for DVA, Health Care card & Pension card holders. We are seeking GP's that hold AHPRA registration. Accommodation, flight and car allowance negotiable depending on commitment to the practice and commitment to continual professional development. This practice is a modern, newly refurbished, fully computerised practice with online booking facility.
The founding Practice Principal is a FRACGP with four years of rural general practice experience with a special interest in skin cancer medicine and surgery. The practice currently has three full time equivalent GP's. The practice undertakes skin checks using advanced digital dermoscopy and removes skin cancers using simple closures to advanced skin grafts and flap procedures. They have introduced day light and conventional PDT therapy as anew service to the Central Highlands. No after hours work is required.
About the Role:
Provide good clinical and medical care, Providing skilled health assessment, diagnosis and treatment services to patients, Ordering diagnostic tests as needed, checking and informing patients of results as per clinics procedure. Referring patients appropriately to other providers if their needs exceed the range of care you are able to provide. Consulting and collaborating with colleagues to provide optimal care. Documenting all care provided and education/information given to patients within their health record, as per clinics procedure. Maintaining professional knowledge and standards through continuing medical education and personal professional development. Having a working knowledge of legislation and standards relating to General Practice. Maintaining a current resuscitation certificate. Providing services courteously and respectfully, with regard to the cultural beliefs and needs of patients. Responding openly and following up complaints or feedback, Practicing medicine in a way that reflects the organisation’s values and mission. Work collaboratively with colleagues and other members of the health care team. Support the values of the organisation.
MBBS, GP Must Hold General Registration with AHPRA and eligibility to obtain a provider number as a General Practitioner in Australia, Must have at least 3 years of Australian GP experience & Australian work rights preferred
