Key responsibilities include:
Hazard identification and control on site
Ensure safe and efficient pre and post shot preparation; at the direction of the Shotfirer
Measuring hole depth and column rise
Entering accurate data into systems
Keeping accurate records, and completing paperwork in a timely manner

Your new role This role will see you working reporting to the Drill & Blast Supervisor and you will be responsible for carrying out safe and productive operation of the Sandvik DR460 and Atlas Copco Pit Viper 275 Drill Rigs. You will also be completing drill bit change outs, filling drills with water and working with the Drill & Blast as a part of their team.
What you'll need to succeed • Previous experience as a Blast Hole Driller on a coal mine site • Standard 11 Induction (or willing to obtain) • Coal Board Medical (or willing to obtain) • Must live within safe travelling distance of the Blackwater region • Proven experience with at least two of the blast hole drill rigs stated above

This is a mixed billing practice bulk billing children under 16, pension card holders and healthcare card holders.

Joining our team this week is a GP Registrar and in the near future another GP. The GP's are supported by experienced Registered Nurses (4) and Reception Staff (5). We have an experienced counsellor on site 2 days a week and numerous other Allied Health including dietitian, diabetic educators, midwife/ante natal, physio, speech therapist, occupational therapist. This practice is also supported through the use of TeleHealth.
This practice offers services to surrounding communities and has weekly clinics at both the Gemfields and Capella.
