Hail Creek Mine is a large and dynamic operation located 120 kilometres south-west of Mackay in the northern Bowen Basin mining region of central Queensland. With a mine life for 20+ years, production nearing 10 million tonnes per year and producing both coking and thermal coal products, Hail Creek is one of the premier coal mines in Australia.
Reporting to the Health, Safety & Training Manager, you will be a key member of the Health Safety & Training team. You will use your experience and passion to create and effectively coordinate health promotions as well as drive the development of a proactive health culture within our operation. You will facilitate and manage the site: Occupational Health Monitoring Program, Injury Management and Rehabilitation / Return to Work processes and the Coal Mine Workers Health Scheme for all employees and contractors in accordance with our statutory and corporate obligations.
Accurate record keeping and attention to detail, along with your capacity to establish effective working relationships, will be crucial to your success in this role. You will display exceptional communication skills, a high level of initiative and a proven ability to work in a fast –paced deadline driven environment.
To be successful, you will have an understanding of the Queensland Workers Compensation legislation and hold a relevant qualification in either Health & Safety, Occupational Hygiene or Allied Health, and have experience in a similar role for a large industrial or mining organisation. This role can either be DIDO, with options to live in the Mackay/Whitsundays region or FIFO. This role is on a nine-day fortnight roster.

Hail Creek is a large scale open cut coal mine located roughly 120 kilometres south-west of Mackay in the northern Bowen Basin mining region of central Queensland. With a long mine life of 20+ years, producing both metallurgical and thermal coal products, Hail Creek is an inclusive workplace with a focus on safety, efficiency and productivity.
Reporting directly to the Senior Mining Systems Coordinator, the Production Controller is accountable for leading, contributing and developing a team who manage Hail Creek Open Cut’s Modular Fleet Management system. You will liaise closely with Mining, Coal Preparation Plant, Maintenance Supervisors, and Technical Services to drive operational efficiencies in an effort to achieve the mine operating plan. This position is a key enabler contributing to maximising productivity based on priorities and plans by controlling Haul truck allocation to loading units in accordance with agreed measures. You will support, develop and monitor improvement initiatives within the Mining Operations teams, focussing on operational loss reduction whilst increasing productivity of the Haul truck and Load unit fleet. You will validate data captured by the Fleet Management system and others, ensuring accuracy and integrity. As a Production Controller you will also be responsible for emergency response coordination per site procedures, when required.
To be successful for this position, you will have a thorough understanding of mining processes and mine monitoring and control systems. You will have a proactive attitude to safety, a strong work ethic and the courage to challenge the status quo. You are accepting of change, lead by example and strive to be the best, encouraging others and not accepting anything less. You will have in-depth knowledge of equipment performance metrics, excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills with proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor in an open-cut mining operation. You will also possess working knowledge of two or more of the following systems: Modular Mining - Dispatch and MineCare, Caterpillar technology products – Aquila Drill, MinVu reporting and PowerBi. Additionally Modular Level 2 certification will be highly regarded.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Technical Services Superintendent to join the Oaky Creek North team. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the primary purpose of the role is to provide direction to the team and specialist support within the Mine Technical Services standards and continuous improvement where appropriate.
You will work alongside a highly experienced team, covering gas drainage, ventilation, mine planning, geological, geotechnical, and surveying services . Broad knowledge across all these areas is required to be successful in this role
The successful applicant will provide technical advice and make informed decisions while working closely with the Operations Manager, Mine Manager, production teams and contractors. It is a requirement that you have a minimum of 5 years working in underground coal mining as part of a Technical Services team and relevant tertiary qualifications in mining engineering or similar. In addition, you will practice and promote safe work behaviours and be an exceptional team leader with a flexible attitude and outstanding work ethic. Experience with Xpac / P6 will be highly regarded, as will a statutory ticket.
Oaky Creek Coal is supported by its local community, Tieri, which is situated 300kms west of Mackay in Queensland’s Central Highlands and less than an hour’s drive from Emerald. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE

2. Leadership and People Management. Uphold and demonstrate council’s values; promote

3. Project and Contract Management. Coordinates facilities project delivery, making
detailed plans to accomplish goals whilst coordinating the integration of technical activities
within an appropriate legal framework. Provides engineering advice and project
management experience in the planning, development and construction phases of facilities
major projects.
Coordinates and delivers design programs generated by strategic asset management plans
or opportunistic projects that may arise. Implements and coordinates contracts within an
appropriate legal framework.
Consults, liaises with and influences key stakeholders; produces detailed project plans
where objectives are clearly defined and action steps for achieving them are clearly
specified; monitors performance against objectives and manages project risks and issues;
ensures Facilities project objectives are met.
4. Investigations. Researches Facilities project feasibility and whole-of-life costs for business
cases to support project justification and grant funding applications.
5. Stakeholder engagement. Establishes a reputation for reliance and trust across the
spectrum of stakeholders, including other levels of government, councillors, management,
peers, fellow workers and the general public. Identifies issues in common for one or more
stakeholders and builds mutually beneficial partnerships. Identifies and responds to
stakeholder’s underlying needs; uses understanding of the stakeholder’s organisational
context to ensure outcomes are achieved; finds innovative solutions to resolve stakeholder

The Role
As the Head Chef joining our Blackwater Site, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and cost-effective food service, with the smooth day-to-day operation in a Commercial Kitchen consisting of shifts over Dinner on a 14/7 day roster, with consistent superior guest focus at the forefront of all activities. As a Head Chef you will achieve this through implementing a strong service focus and ensuring that efficient standards and practices are employed. You will cook dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery.
You will assist in overseeing all kitchen employees, including training and performance development. You will be responsible for providing smorgasbord/buffet style dining for guests residing at the Park, as well as buffet for small function & conference groups. You will also liaise with front of house staff to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of daily services.
About You
Must have experience in remote locations and experience in similar set up facilitating 20,000 meals a month. The position includes the below responsibilities:
- Food preparation and presentation (dinner)
- Adherence to dietary requirements (allergies, special requests)
- Management of stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking
- Maintaining a clean kitchen, equipment and utensils
- Adherence to legislated food hygiene and general safety practices

In order to be successful in this role you will need:
- Certificate III Commercial Cookery
- Food Safety Supervisor Certification
- Min 3 years post-qualification experience in executing all aspects of kitchen operations and food preparation and service, preferably in a remote environment

Isaac Regional Council is seeking an enthusiastic team member to join their passionate and dedicated team as a Lead Compliance Officer in the Community Education and Compliance Department based in Moranbah.
The purpose of this role is to serve the community and maintain or improve domestic Animal Management, safety and amenity through the investigation of breaches of relevant legislation and local laws, educating customers and taking enforcement action.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Predominately conduct inspections and investigations enforcing Council Local Laws in relation to Animal Management, the Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008 and Regulations including handling of domestic animals and animal husbandry primarily dogs.
- Perform both reactive and proactive compliance patrols within the region and carry out the relevant legislative compliance action - this will include conducting improved inspection programs and physical patrols of streets, parks and other public areas under council's control.
- Provide excellent customer service, advice, direction and solutions to the community in relation to breaches of legislation and local laws.
- Effectively manage customer requests and other tasks within defined time frames ensuring that all matters are completed, and final outcomes are communicated to customers and recorded onto appropriate council databases.
- Provide reports and briefs to management and council and provide evidence in a court of law regarding investigations as required.
- Maintain and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders that will increase the effectiveness of the team.
- In accordance with procedure and when required, issue correspondence, compliance notices and penalty infringement notices for breaches of relevant State Government legislation, local laws and subordinate.
This position is required to undertake frequent travel by motor vehicle for patrols of the region with accommodation provided by Council often unaccompanied and through remote and isolated areas.

The successful candidate will have:
- Knowledge of the Local Government Act 2009, the Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008 the Waste Reduction and Recycling Act 2011, the Environmental Protection Act 1994, the Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995 and Regulations, and Council's Local Laws and associated subordinate local laws

- Experience in navigating and interpreting State legislation and local laws
- Certificate IV in Government Investigation or similar qualification and extensive experience

- Proven conflict resolution skills to attain desired outcomes in a dignified and respectful manner whilst maintaining a positive Council image;
- High level interpersonal and communication skills with particular emphasis in consultation, negotiation, influencing, conflict resolution and assertiveness;
- Proven written communication skills including the ability to draft reports, compile affidavits and take investigation notes;
- Proven ability to work as part of a team and to work efficiently in a support role;
- High level of experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

outsourced transport infrastructure capital projects.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND LICENCES REQUIRED
Mandatory:
- Minimum of Queensland C class provisional drivers licence.
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering and/or Project Management (or equivalent).
Desirable:
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) or Chartered Professional
Engineer (CPEng) with Engineer Australia or Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM)
with the Australian Institute of Project Managers or Project Management Professional
(PMP) with Project Management Institute.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Tertiary Qualifications in Civil Engineering, or in a relevant field coupled with significant
Project Management experience (3 years+) in a similar role

-Workshop Supervisor – Grosvenor Mine
As the Workshop Supervisor, reporting to the Workshop Coordinator, you will be accountable for managing the coordination of personnel, equipment and resources to complete maintenance activities in order to ensure compliance.
- You will ensure scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is completed in line with safety and statutory obligations and will achieve this through active engagement and effective leadership
- Ensure tasks being carried in a safe manner and comply with applicable policies, plans and procedures by the crew
- Audit maintenance work to ensure it is completed in accordance with set strategy, plan and to the appropriate standard
- Oversee people development issues in your area including input into training and developing of team members
- Identify cost saving initiatives opportunities for improvement and champion those changes

OBJECTIVE OF THIS ROLE
The Street Sweeper Operator will be required to undertake operation of a heavy rigid truck
configuration and labouring duties across the Central Highlands Regional Council area as directed
by the Supervisor, in accordance with Council policies and procedures, Queensland Transport
Regulations and National Heavy Vehicle Regulator legislation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE
1. Street Sweeper Operation and Maintenance. Ensure the safe and competent operation
and maintenance of a Street Sweeper in line with council’s heavy vehicle management
system. Adopt best practice in relation to road maintenance and construction activities.
Undertake regular maintenance checks on the Street Sweeper and/or associated plant.
2. Flexibility. Primarily this role will undertake the cleaning of the urban street network however
at times will be required to travel to rural areas.
3. Training and Development. To actively participate in ongoing training and self-
development to achieve continuous improvement for yourself and council.

Additionally, this position may be required to conduct other duties as lawfully directed by the
reporting manager.

The Opportunity:
A new vacancy is available for a Customer Support Representative / Store Person to join the Komatsu team, based at the Emerald Branch. The purpose of this role is to service the needs of the broad customer base throughout the region in both mining and construction sectors.
Also forming part of this role are Store Person duties such as receiving, storage and dispatch of parts for the Branch and ensuring high levels of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Weekly checks of outstanding customer orders to ensure backorders supplied within the shortest possible lead time.
- Interpret the customer’s needs correctly, suggesting options to the end user for additional sales.
- Meet both customer and company expectations to a satisfactory level of customer service.
- Diligent inspection of all inwards goods to ensure accuracy of received stock quantities
- Accurate receipting of all stock and put away in the correct location
- Efficient picking, packing, dispatching and recording of shipments of parts and other goods to internal and external customers
- Assisting in cyclical and/or full stock takes
- Liaising with transport companies to arrange collection of goods for delivery
- Ensuring all required paperwork is completed, processed and filed correctly in an accurate and timely manner
The knowledge, skills and abilities we’re looking for:
- A background in parts sales and good mechanical aptitude would be highly regarded
- Current drivers licence and High Risk forklift license is essential
- Previous experience in parts operation / interpretation or warehouse environment
- Proficient skills with Microsoft products (Outlook, Word and Excel) and AX / Dynamics
- Strong written and oral communication skills required for a front line customer support role
- High accuracy level of production data
- Sound analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

About the Role
LiveBetter Child & Family Services have a reputation for empowering their communities and providing supportive, inclusive, and positive learning environments. Blackwater Early Learning Centre provides high quality early childhood education and care to children.
Blackwater Early Learning Centre and Out of School Hours Care is operated from the Blackwater North State school. A centre Director is responsible for the oversight of the Centre, including vacation and out of school hours care. The centre operates for 50 weeks of the year and has an annual two-week closedown over the Christmas Period.

- Minimum Cert III qualification or working towards a Diploma in Children’s Services.
- Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training.
- Current Statement of Attainment for the course "Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk", as per legislation Child Protection Act 1999 (QLD)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills allowing you to build and maintain relationships with children, staff, families and the community.
- Experience working within the Early Childhood Sector.
- Ability to work as part of a team, whilst enjoying a degree of responsibility in your role.

You will be also required to undertake and pass a national criminal history check, pre-employment health & wellness check (including drug & alcohol screening) and currently possess, or be willing to obtain, a positive notice Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (previously QLD Yellow Card) in accordance with the working with children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000.
