We live in a small Coal Mining town called Blackwater situated in Central Queensland. It is semi remote but we always find plenty of activities to do. Our region offers a different experience to the big cities and beaches! We have the beautiful Blackdown Tablelands and gem fields at our doorstep and Airlie Beach only 500ks North or the beautiful fraser Island 700ks South.
Ellie attends Kindy 2 x a week and also has dance classes. Our days are filled with arts and crafts, role playing/dressups, reading, baking, puzzles and playdoh! Anything that involes play based learning. There are also plenty of playgroups to attend and parks to play in. On days off we enjoy time at the local swimming pool or out at the weir BBQing and swimming with friends. In our free time together we love to explore, go camping and travel to the coast and beaches. Sometimes we also love to relax and have quiet time at home as a family catching up. If you have no prior plans we would love for you to join us also.
We both work in the mining industry doing shift work and need someone to care for the children primarily when Host mum is working. You will be very busy the days we both work and will have sole care of the children in those times and they require constant supervision, therefore we would ideally seek an Aupair with experience with young children.
DUTIES - Responsible for all daily cares of Ellie and Blake when on duty such as wakeups, nappy change, meals, clothes, dishes, daily naps, going to parks, swimming and having fun. - Drive Ellie to Tiny tots playgroup Monday and Tuesday -Take her to dance class Tuesday afternoons. -General tidying up after children. -If happy to help out with meal prep and possibly a small amount of cooking that would be great. Although its not a must it just would be really helpful on days that we work. - Bath, feed and prepare them for bed. -Occasionally our schedules collide and we will both be on night shifts. On those days you will be responsible for putting them to bed.
We don't expect you to do any extra cleaning other than tidying up after the kids and keeping your room and bathroom tidy. We want our au pair to be focused on our children.
You will have your own Queen sized bedroom and share a bathroom with the children. The house and bedrooms are airconditioned. We also have a pool to help beat the summer heat. WIFI and meals included and you will be paid a genourous weekly allowance. A car will also be provided for use during working hours, and possibly on some days off if arranged .
