The Site

The Dyno Nobel Moranbah Plant is a fully integrated Ammonium Nitrate complex based in Central Queensland. The facility comprises Ammonia, Nitric Acid and Ammonium Nitrate (NAAN) plants plus infrastructure, utilities, power generation and housing to support the permanent workforce.

The Role

Reporting to the Administration Team Lead, this role will assist with the administration function within the four yearly site Turnaround (Major Shutdown). The role will encompass various shifts, during the busiest period of 10 weeks, 12 hour shifts. You may be required to be on call for last minute flight changes so your flexibility will be required. Other responsibilities will include the following:

• Coordinating flight and accommodation bookings of a high volume
• Coordinating incoming and outgoing contractors
• Updating Rosters
• Liaising with Contractors
• Liaising with flight and accommodation providers
  

About You

• Experience with high volume travel and accommodation
• Experience doing FIFO and/or Longer rosters
• Coordinate contractor/staff onboarding (ordering PPE, IT requests, organising inductions etc.)
• SAP invoice service entries and goods receipting
• Preparation, distribution and maintenance of all correspondence with an agreed time frame
• Set up, utilise & train other team members on use of the document control procedures;
• Exposure working in a project administration role will be highly advantageous
• Ideally you will have experience working in turnaround/shutdown projects. Experience in SAP will be highly regarded
• Excellent knowledge in MS Office Suite.
• Exceptional communication skills and organisational skills

The Role

Reporting to the Site Administration Coordinator, this very busy temporary role will see you assisting with all facets of the HSE and Maintenance Teams administrative requirements, especially during the four yearly site Turnaround (Major Shutdown). Other responsibilities will include the following:

• Word processing / document writing (notices, routine and adhoc admin, forms, assisting with review / update of procedures)
• Assist in the preparation of communication material for the site e.g. MSB’s, HSE Change Alerts, newsletter etc
• Prepare Powerpoint presentations
• Data entry into a number of systems
• Diary management and arranging appointments, training workshops and booking meeting rooms and conference facilities
• Prepare meeting documentation including undertaking minute taking
• Admin support for Site Manager, Maintenance Manager and Safety Department
• Coordination of events (visits, function catering, etc.)
• Possibly maintaining the company social media accounts – Yammer
• Camp accommodation booking and camp accommodation tracking (Excel)
• Booking accommodation and flights through corporate agency
• Ordering, Stationary supply, printer consumables, uniforms, basic IT supplies – cords etc
• Filing / scanning / Archiving
• Back up for Site Administration Coordinator if on leave
  

About You

To be successful in this Moranbah based role, you will have a good administration experience, be a self starter with excellent attention to detail. Other requirements include:

• Proficient in Word and Excel
• Ability to become proficient in non-standard software packages
• Energetic, intuitive self-starter, you naturally thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication (both verbal and written), attention to detail, ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities and quick learner of following workflows
• Exceptional data reporting and accuracy skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Well-developed organisational skills
• Experience with preparation of written reports and PowerPoint presentations
• Strong document management system knowledge
• Have demonstrated experience using MS Office suite (SAP beneficial)
• Ability to wear and care for applicable personal protective equipment (such as, safety glasses and shoes, respirator, hard hat and ear protection, safety harness) as required by site specific requirements

• Assistance with merchandise campaign material

• Providing general administrative support to the branch

About You:

To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in a team support role in a busy environment and have a passion for Australian farming and agriculture. In addition, you will demonstrate:

• A proactive approach to work and practical organisation skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Effective verbal communications skills to build solid long term customer relationships

• Problem solving skills and empathy to resolve customer issues promptly

• Ability to identify ways to improve internal sales processes

• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

• A current driver’s license is essential and a HR and forklift license is preferred

About the opportunity

You will be responsible for assisting the Farm Manager with operating a 4,880 hectare broad-acre cropping (mainly cotton) property in Central Queensland.

Activities include:

• Tractor operation - Establish crops including bed preparation, fertilising, sowing and cultivation
• Irrigation activities – syphon, bankless and sprinkler irrigation.
• Operate broadacre farming plant and equipment including airseeder, precision plant, self-propelled spray unit and other farming equipment
• Maintain plant and equipment
• Undertake general farm duties including fencing and repairs and maintenance; and
• Comply with company policies and relevant legislation, to minimise health and safety incidents and environmental degradation.

Requirements

What you will need to be successful

Reporting to the Farm Manager, you will need to have good interpersonal and communication skills and the desire and ability to work well with a small, close knit team. You will also be able to work autonomously, and you will keep accurate records. Previous experience working on a cotton or broadacre farming operation, and operating machinery is essential. It is essential you hold a current driver’s licence. . You will need to be fit and healthy for this physically demanding role. These qualities combined with your experience will contribute to your success in this role.
